I am trying to fit an sx200 spaq pedal to a series 2 LI to get more leverage
the stop flange on the pedal is too long to connect with the bump stop, it fouls the crankcase.
Its brand new and chrome any ideas other than a hacksaw please

Unfortunately the best thing is a grinder or hacksaw

Going to need bending. A S3 pedal won't work on a S2. Not sure why you thought it would work.

Surely a series 3 kickstart pedal would hit the rear floorboard on a series 2.

hi woo
i highly rate the Spaq SX 200 pedal for S2 use.

you do have to cut the end off the stop flange (probably at least 15mm, measure twice and cut once :) )

i clamped mine in a large vice near to the stop flange and bent the pedal outwards using a 3ft length of alloy scaffold pipe.

all the chrome plate remained (bonus)

this of course will put the end of the pedal at an angle, just cut it off and weld it back on square, no one will notice what's been done and you have the satisfaction of knowing that the pedal wont bend out of shape, simples.

If fabbing's your thing, couldn't one weld a short section into the end section of a standard series 2 kickstart?
