A hopefully new V55 question

Postby LuiLui » Sun Apr 07, 2019 3:27 pm

Filled out V55 for first registration of an imported vehicle a year ago, no problem. Now the form and MOT laws have both changed, so:
A. Do I have to complete the new Euro status and WLTP sections? (This for a 1968 machine)
B. Do I still have to send a current MOT certificte with the application?

I am told by friends that the MOT is no longer a requirement but it is still on the .gov websites as one of the items you must send in for all registrations.

Any advice most welcome before I cross my fingers and send it off ‘as is’.

Cheers

Ok, just read the registering page on the main pages and that recommends sending in a V112 with the application. So I think part B is answered.

Ok, sometimes forget the wife works in the motor trade :?

No need for the WLTP or status, apparently even the manufacturers can’t work theirs out!

Bit obvious and could have thought it through but hope the post helps someone.

The V112 form is part of my advice on the LCGB website registrations page.
