KPH SPEEDO

Postby bricky36 » Sat Apr 20, 2019 1:25 pm

Hello,
Restoring a Li125, just asking if I need to change the Kph
to mph speedo. It's a Italian import, with original speedo.

Thanks Alex

I'm not sure. But I do know having a KPH speedo would drive me spare. Assuming it still works you could probably stick a MPH face on it. That wouldn't be quite so bad.

as you don't need a working speedo for an MOT i don't see an issue

I had my kitty MOT'd last week and the tester commented that the speedo was in KPH and noted the odometer reading in KPH on the certificate. He also spotted that the previous tester had noted the value as MPH and asked if I'd changed the speedo which I hadn't - it was just an error - so it doesn't seem to matter as long as you can do the conversion realtime in your head
