I am after an Atomic clutch pressure plate. I know they aren’t made any longer, but does anyone have one spare or know where I can buy one?

I have already reached-out to Martin Hyland/Corrado/Just Lambretta, who used to stock them. I look forward to his reply.

Thanks

can't help you with the pressure plate afraid

on the subject of Martin/Just Lambretta contact - I'm finding email contact doesn't seem to work
I tried myself and never received a response

However order something from the website and it does turn up

adding the above in-case Martin reads this

To his credit, Martin Hyland did respond to my message via Facebook Messenger.

He is checking his vaults in case he still has one, but he was not hopeful.

You are right though, his postal delivery is very sharp.

I could do with trying to source one (or 2) of these also as I bought a couple of the billet centres a few years back and didn't initially twig to the fact that the spring seat recesses are not quite in the standard radius from centre, meaning that when you use them with a standard pressure plate the springs are not aligned top and bottom. As such, the springs do not compress straight as top and bottom have different centres

I've never had an Atomic pressure plate so cannot say with any certainty that this will correct the alignment but I'd love to think that it would (?).

Knowledge, if you get offered a number of these, please put me on to any spares available?

Ta

Adam

I have just compared my Atomic pressure plate and the centre spider, and the five spring holes line-up very badly indeed.

Having said that, my clutch is very good for 28ft.lbs. Light in operation with the six plates.

If I am inundated with offers Adam, I will let you know.

I have taken a deep breath, and ordered one from Beedspeed. Thanks for the tip NB.

However, I am still on the lookout for one of the Atomic items.

A mate recommended these & said worked fine!
Also says he used to get some extra weld put on the top of the legs where they meet the top plate..

I’ve emailed Pat Joynt at SSC asking 2 see if he can help get any of Atomic types ;-)

Thanks Norris. It might be an idea to get a couple in if Pat makes the right contacts (I heard he was at Poland rally)

In the end I opted for the Beedspeed deep pressure plate, which arrived the next day and is fine.

If he comes up trumps I will PM you bud...

Good to here the Beedspeed ones are working ;-)
So is your setup:- ATOMIC deep spider & crownwheel with 5 or 6 plates???

It is a six plate set up.

I milled the space for the ears of the cork plates so they sat lower in the basket, and use a Surflex 5 plate clutch, plus one standard cork plate and a selection on thinner steels. The springs are MB. The centre is deep Atomic and the pressure plate has already been discussed.

It is light, using an RD lever, and worked first time with 28bhp and 28ft lbs of torque. I would like to think that if I have a problem whilst touring, I should be able to source replacement parts without too much trouble.

Great info mate,
so is your crownwheel a ScootRS Type or a milled std one?
My plans the same 6 plates MB Springs & the ScootRS clutch Parts ;-)

It was a Scoots RS one.

They were all crudely filed in the area where the friction plate tabs sit, but they should have been milled before they left Vietnam as failure to do so left them sadly shortly of their full potential.

Yes got a 47toothed one in my GP & did that one before fitting
Also got a 46 which is what I’ll use in this next build

Cheers
