I have used Petseal in the past, and it has flaked off inside the tank. I know others have had the same problem.

Does anyone know of a better product?

Kreem is decent stuff, 3 stages involved which is a bit of a Flaff but works a treat

Search for Tankcare Products. They even do a Petseal Remover too which probably tells you all you need to know about that particular product.

I have only used Tankcare on 2 tanks that both needed welding. This is why I used it. In both cases, with correct preparation, the tanks sealant is still sound years later.

+1.

I used this stuff on my tank in 2012, it's still doing the job well.

I'll go with POR15. I've used it on several tanks including tractor tanks without problems.

oxalic acid mix 1:3 with water. leave to soak 24 hours. longer if rust is really bad.
then flush with bicarb of soda as acid nutalizer and flush with water. then get it dry with a heat gun or hairdryer before flash rust.
oil in petrol will then stop any rusting.
should be like new then and stay clear for years.
:D
i did try petseal before i tried oxalic. petseal crap
