Speedo issues with disc brake set up

Postby mitchiow » Wed Sep 25, 2019 9:22 pm

I have an external hydraulic disc brake purchased from Buzzsolomoto and sip speedo fitted to my LI series 3. After about 400 miles the speedo packed up. On stripping the hub I found the plastic drive fitted to the hub had cracked. Purchased a new metal worm and drive from MB but the drive wont fit as the plastic one supplied with the hub appears to be an odd size. Has anyone else had the same problem and if so what have you done to overcome the issue. Many Thanks

Both parts toddy
To be fair to Buzz he replaced the drive, have had it refitted and seems ok at the moment. Its a poor design all round and if it fails again I shall go with the sensor.
