Side casing studs

Does anyone do longer double ended crankcase studs. Have some fully threaded ones but they don't seem to get the hold of a double ended one. Mb have some but the unthreaded section is a couple of mm long. Would these be easy to turn down a tadge with a die seeing they are stainless

Stainless studs are prone to stretching leading to oil leaks.
Best to stick with high tensile!
