Drive Plate variations

Postby Westpole » Sun Jun 28, 2020 3:22 pm

I’d welcome some advice/opinions on drive plates. I am rebuilding a std SX and the drive plate I have removed is one of the grooved versions. What’s the purpose of the groove and is it best to move to a non- grooved variant?? Many thanks in advance.

I don’t know what the groove is for, but this usually means they are the stable, steel items and good for re-use.

The ones without a groove are often ali, and prone to distortion.
