When I got a dual tank made several years back, conventional wisdom was that at least one of the pipes should be really narrow, say, 10mm. The lad who welded and pressure tested mine didn’t do this. He fitted 20mm connectors top and bottom. This worked fine for several years.
I mention this as I suspect it would be difficult to properly flush out the toolbox with narrow connecting pipes.

15mm at top and 25mm bottom... Yep not gonna be easy. But we'll try.... I like a challenge
Petrol tank in soak at minute
