Mid range tank

Postby gaz_powell » Sun Nov 21, 2021 7:14 pm

Anyone fitted one of these?

https://beedspeed.com/products/lambrett ... imer-10ltr

I know its from Beedspeed but i want a larger than standard and its the flat sides I want over the standard seam type.

Interested to see how they look against the toolbox and larger carb clearance.

I dont like the idea of it hooking over the frame bud, other than that can it be used with big carb (TS1, RB, Imola, r/hand side cast)?

That was my concern, i dont like the bolted ones either and believe that mounting as per original is the best.
Would have been chopping each side for carb clearance.
Probably back to the extended standard type.

I'm a bit puzzled why it has the curve at the front ? If it replaced the toolbox i could understand it but if replaces the existing tank why have it curved ?
Could it be the image is a for a Long Range tank ?

Ive got a couple of those tanks, Both fitted into wide style frames, They are a designed to fit in a slim style frame really but with a bit of persuasion they fit in the early ones.

Like you say though mine have flat fronts not the curve as shown in the photo.

Also they are full of crap inside so give them a good clean out. Ive had them 4-5 years and no leaks etc.

"Like you say though mine have flat fronts not the curve as shown in the photo" - another thing I was concerned about.

Do you have a photo of one fitted - if you PM me I can give you my email address.
