With a little time on your hands a fork spring compressor can be made using some 30mm wide 5mm thick bar as per picture.Note the cut outs to enable the prongs of the fork piece to slide under the lips of the fork.Use a 10mm m10 bolt and an exhaust clamp.Tighten the bolt and with some mole grips on the "handle" of the fork piece manoeuvre the fork piece to slip under the turned over lips of the fork as per picture.Use a piece of inner tube to prevent exhaust clamp scratching your paintwork
