Alloy split rims stockist in Uk

I am trying to find a UK stockist of these split rims:

https://www.lambretta-teile.de/Wheel-ri ... X-TV-GP-dl

Armandos and Cam lam haven’t had any for months. I did message Tino but his response made no sense

Does anyone know of a stockist, or does anyone have a good condition silver one they are happy to sell?

I seem to recall that VE-UK were also going to be an official stockist for these rims? (Although a quick search on their website doesn't show any listed).

Thanks, Simon. I shall send them a message to see. I have also been reliably informed that Beedspeed may have some in stock  I think I’d rather order from LTH than deal with Beedspeed though :?

I was lucky enough to pick up 3pr of the MEC ones off ebay still in wrappers for 60 quid several montbs ago. They are very well finished, nice match, true and obviously light.
They were a pleasure to build with mypol tubes.
They are built up to drop on a bike but in silver they dont match anything i have on the road. Gonna pop them on SX to try them out.
I was impressed with match of the halves etc

So, it was you who bought up the entire UK stock :D

Are the Tino ones the same as the MEC? Who knows, probably.

As LTH have a couple of other items that I can’t see online in the UK, I’ll probably bite the import tax bullet and buy from Germany :(

As long as you don’t go over £135 on the value then import and handling fees shouldn’t be an issue ;)
I bought the last of the super light rims from camlam, mighty impressed with them

But some German dealers have slapped a minimum order value of more than £135.

That would be SCK that’s slapped a minimum order value on goods :|
I’ve stopped ordering from them and only use SIP ;)

Yes, it will have been SCK. I presume that there must be a business reason for this, perhaps that the onus is on the customer to sort everything out, not them. Brexit eh :(

If the order is under £135 then that business needs to sort out the VAT payment, which I'd imagine is a unwanted overhead for them, so far easier to have a minimum order value where it puts sorting out the VAT onto the customer/courier

I managed to get some of these alloy split rims from Europe. If anyone is interested, they weigh 0.68kg compared to the standard wheel which is 1.45kg.

Hi, Daz.

I have one on backorder from LTH (they aren’t planning on getting any more) and I couldn’t find any dealers in the UK who were especially bothered about trying to get stock.

I then emailed Tino at info@lambretta.it and got a couple from him. He seems to have them in significant numbers now as I have seen him posting pictures of them on Facebook.

Hope this helps, mate.
