Technical help for Series one, two and three Lambrettas. Models include the Li, Li Special, TV, SX, GP, Serveta and API/SIL models

I have not been happy with the handling of my scooter for a long time, but I think I might have found the problem.
When I dropped the engine out of the scooter yesterday I found that while the big offside engine mount was as it should be (stiff), the standard size engine mount on the near side is very floppy (by comparison).
I need to replace this NS engine mount with something stiffer. Does anyone have a recommendation?
Thanks

Yes, but the long RHS engine mount comes without a compatible LHS engine mount; you have to source your own.

I am not sure I am in the market for the stiffest engine mount on the planet, just the one that is most compatible with the long RHS engine mount. Those ones from SIP look brutal

Yes they are brutal but good for the race track, the green version is a softer compound and I’m sure is interchangeable from right too left and visa versa. I’ll check them on one of my spare engines tomorrow and confirm.

I tend to run a stiffer mount on the shock / gearbox side of my Lambretta to stop the mount deforming quite so much and a softer one on the other side.

That looks seriously stiff.
I have ordered a Casa item and will have a feel of it and decide whether to fit it with the BIG OS engine mount.
I bet I end up wishing I bought two Casa engine mounts and abandon the BIG mount.
