Lui newby

Hi all posted this some time ago on Lui/ Vega forum and no help forthcoming there can’t be any owners out there!!!
Hi Lui owners
Just thinking about buying a Lui 50 but don’t know much about them. I’ve restored a 150 Special but now want another project. I found STICKY’S book an absolute requisite & wondered if there is a bible for the Lui?
Also any tips. Spares seem to be scarce and more expensive. Is this the case? Also any specialist suppliers. Or even a blog like the one PAUL SLACK did on series 3.
Hope someone can help please.
Cheers SplCase

CamLam, Scooter Restorations, Torbay Lambretta and Jem Booth all helped me but then I just had boxes of Vega parts to start with. I believe a book is being written as a guide to restoration but when this will see the light of day, heaven knows.

I got by by asking questions of the Facebook group, referring to the parts of the old Lambretta Workshop a manual that refer to the Luna line and by referring to a printed copy of the engineering drawings which I got off eBay. Anything that I was clueless about, the Facebook group tended to provide the answer.

Sadly, the Luna line forum is very quiet but a lot of the old contributors do post on the Facebook group.

Have you ever ridden a Vega or Lui? What sort of ride and speeds are you expecting?

A complete scooter would be easier to restore than what I had to contend with. I had j parts mixed in with Vega parts.
