Frame jig, repair, prep and paint recommendations please.

Postby Lord-Spanner » Sun Apr 03, 2022 10:24 pm

I'm very close to having my S3 frame prep'd and painted now (engine almost finished) I need the frame checked for straightness, a new stand cross member welding in and possibly a new brake pin welding on in the correct place (goes with out saying I guess  ) also need the frame dipping/blasting to remove all the old rust, crud and old paint, then I would want them to repaint it.

I don't mind travelling to get it there and to pick it up, I live in Shropshire, so could anybody recommend a very good place who only work with Lambretta's and know there shit about them to get all this work done.

Cheers folks

I've got a Lambretta frame jig but stayed quiet on this. I don't generally do frames for people unless I know them.

I am a toolmaker by trade and used to make jigs at BAE systems for military aircraft so understand exactly how to use it etc.

Thanks for the reply Leotech (I'm very grateful as I was beginning to give up hope)

believe it or not I've had a reply to an email asking to call which I will today, I understand you only do them for friends but is it ok for me to keep you in mind? do you do welding, paint/rust removal and powder coating or would that be for me to sort out?

Thanks again
