I'm thinking of building some forks with external suspension / damper units. Anyone done this that can offer tips, feedback, which units or dimensions?

Thanks, Mark

A friend of mine has recently built himself a very tidy, widened, series 2 special with a 400 Burgman auto engine.
He widened the fork loop to accommodate the front wheel, links, brakes and suspension from a Scomadi.
Handles very well.

Scooter Restorations has the Indian external suspension forks for sale at a very reasonable price recently, but there are no fork links available, so that explains the cost of the cheap forks.

All the same, it might be worth a punt Mark

Thanks FnF.

Martin, yes a very reasonable price. Would like to be able to use an anti-dive setup too, so not sure these would work even if I could find links?

Anybody used the Protech front dampers?
