I am planning to use my 5 pin rectifier to charge a battery. Ive got the B+ connected, but what is the C terminal for?

I can’t remember what the C terminal is but I recall that when you use the 5pin rectifier the battery has to have a charge in it for the rectifier to work. However, the rectifier draws on the battery even when the engine is not running. Therefore, it is important to fit a switch between the battery and the rectifier to stop the rectifier draining the battery when it is in the garage.

If I find one of the old wiring diagrams I drew years ago, it might remind me about the C terminal.

Not certain...... but I think it may be for an "ignition-on" dash indicator.
