Gears problem

Postby Simon_T » Sun Jun 08, 2014 6:22 pm

Hi I have a problem with the gearbox on my newly built ts1
Changes up ok but on the way back down through the gears when I change from 2nd to 1st it makes a racing noise or rattling noise.
Any ideas..?

Just to clarify, is it making noise while it is in neutral as it changes from 2nd to 1st?

What happens if you linger in neutral? Any noise?

Presumably, it doesn't make the same noise as you change from 1st to 2nd?

Problem solved.. Whoever put the gearbox in used the wrong gear with the wrong amount of teeth.
Fitted a new gear and instantly problem solved.
Noise gone and 1st is now easy to select :D
