Notwithstanding the issues mentioned above, I have to say that over a year later having done a few rallies fully loaded at the back, this shock continues to impress for the price.

Bushes still in good nick.

Currently sat next to the A59 near Skipton (on way back from Brid) looking at a snapped Scootopia shock. New last year... meh!

Well, yes, that is not good and I am now seriously thinking of replacing it before next Spring.

Hopefully, FI will report it to Scootopia.

I shouldn't laugh. I've got one fitted to my S2. Fingers crossed.

Bouncing around at 60mph is not a good experience...

My Hagon rear shock has been on for 4 years and over 7k miles, can't fault it for £100

Full refund, which is good. But it feels like there may be an underlying issue that should be investigated... Still, at least the spring didn't part ways with the top of shock...

Good to see a dealer showing good customer service and keeping the customer happy...a few could learn from this (sore point with me currently)

Update: I have kept with the Scootopia shock and, so far this year, been to Scarborough and Seahouses, so not great mileage. It still appears in good condition and, with it set fairly hard to deal with rally gear, continues to make the GP feel comfortable whilst being thrown around bumpy roads.

I am not advocating that anyone should rush out and buy one, just giving some feedback on a shock that doesn’t cost the earth.

Has anyone who has had problems had any feedback from Scootopia?

An old post but, a few months back, I replaced the Scootopia shock with a Chiselspeed one, a 315mm one to raise the front end of my CST3 exhaust a bit. Anyway, I set it right in the mid range and haven’t altered it since.

I am currently pootling around the country and have done 300 miles in the last couple of days. The new shock has improved the ride quality immeasurably as I no longer need to set it so hard as I had to with the Scootopia one.

Just thought I’d share this to show that I do listen to feedback received from friends :D

I might be on the lookout for a shock soon. The Chiselspeed one has been around a while now I think and I haven’t heard any negatives.

I suspect it is made for them by Protech.
