Lambretta 2 hole engine mount - kickstart side

Postby al pushpak » Fri Jan 19, 2018 9:15 pm

Hi, just wondered if anyone knows which way round the 2 hole engine mount fits on the kickstart side, my reason for asking is in Stickies manual it states it should be fitted with the holes at 10 o'clock & 1 o'clock & in the Haynes manual it states 2 & 4 o'clock ,so which one is it :? thanks for any info ;)

Just to confuse things

do the "times" given relate to the engine being flat on a bench or when it is at an angle in the frame ? ...............could this be the discrepancies between the 2 figures ?

I would use sticky's advise. The information that you quote from sticky's,is for reinforced voided 2 hole mounts. If you use the Vulcan 2 hole engine mounts, because they're a softer construction, they need to be fitted at 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock for the kickstart side and 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock for the flywheel side.
