Wanted - your resto story

Hi,

As you know, I write the Oily Rag articles for Jetset, and it occurs to me what the magazine hasn’t had since I became a regular contributor, is a few consecutive articles describing a restoration of a Scooter.

Is there anyone out there who has kept a photographic record of their recent restoration project? It would be fantastic if it was a J, Luna or pre-57 machine, as all my articles have been rather Li dominated, (a standard-ish resto or resto would be good). I can help with the words if you wish, but I am hoping that the pictures will tell most of the story.

Don’t panic if you are some months from finishing your project, because I have articles for the next three Jetsets, so you might have time to start something this weekend!

What have you got?

Both those suggestions would be terrific.

As long a there are plenty of photos along the way, there will be a story to tell. I love both models mentioned and this would certainly help tip the balance away from Italy to Spain, which would be an interesting angle as sourcing parts may be more of a challenge.

Love it. Yes, I will take either. or both. :D

Lovely Scooter Bob.

If you have photos that is brilliant. If you have some words, even better. I guess your problem will be deciding which photos to omit.

Let me have some stuff Bob.

If you save me a 5 page slot in the February 2023 issue, I’ll have a Vega resto for you :!:

You're more than welcome to use my engine rebuild thread in 'Show Us Your Ride'.

I'm currently half-way through another, which I'll be posting up soon.

Nice idea CW. A close-up engine rebuild would be interesting. I like it.
