seal size?

Postby Skippy » Mon Oct 07, 2019 4:03 pm

Hi I have a Mk 3 LD 125, the only part i cannot source (and need to finish it) is the drive pinion oil seal, Innocenti No 00615602 and in original parts book listed as Gn-9-27. Can anyone tell me what size this seal is so that i can try to find it, it seems it is only available as part of a full set of seals from all the dealers.

Cheers Steve.

I'm pretty sure it's 20-35-10 - that's 20mm id, 35mm od and 10mm thick. (The thickness isn't critical as the seal sits in a wide space between the two pinion bearings, so you could use a thinner or thicker one if necessary.) No need to go to a specialist scooter shop, online suppliers such as Simply Bearings, Bearing Boys, etc. stock a good range of oilseals. Just make sure the side of the seal with the spring is facing forward - i.e. toward the gearbox/clutch.
