Varitronic fitment problem

Postby jdevane5 » Thu Jun 04, 2020 4:46 pm

Need some advise...Just received my Varitronic ignition kit for 125LD.

There's a nice shiny new flywheel nut in the kit and the instruction's state to use the original flywheel nut spring washer.
The original washer does not fit on the new flywheel nut, so I ordered a decent 16mm spring washer that now fits the new flywheel nut but does not fit in the flywheel aperture!

The only option I see is to turn the kit new nut down slightly to fit the original spring washer...

Last question will I need to rejet the carb?

I had the same problem with mine (D150) I contacted Cambridge Lambretta where I purchased it from and they told me just use a drop of thread lock but most importantly make sure you torque it to the correct setting . That’s what they do and haven’t had any issues. Hope that helps.
Sorry can’t help ref jetting .

I would turn down one of the spring washers to fit.

Otherwise stock engine? Jetting should be fine.
