Brake light actuation

Postby jdevane5 » Tue Jul 21, 2020 6:38 pm

I have a very bizarre rear brake light setup on my 53` LD125 and want to know if this a legit part in anyway as its different to other LD's I have researched so far.

There is a small switch mounted off the engine which has a small chain going to the brake cable linkage.

When braking the chain is pulled and this actuates the switch.
There are two wires going from the switch to the rear light.

This set up works but I'm restoring and want to get the right parts.

Some Lambrettas didn't have a brake light. Someone has added one.

Thanks for the brake light link, interesting, very different set up on my scoot.
Will go with what I have and see if it works ok.
