I need some info (pics) of a 12v LD Avv

Can anyone help please?

Pics needed of the rectifier and voltage regulator if anyone can help.

What book is this please?

..and what is the square object in the picture, lower left?

I can see the rectifier, Regulator, load resistance and stator but not the square item.

It's the rectifier.

Thanks. I have the third edition which is quite different. Page numbers are much later but it's all there which is great!
