I put petrol and oil in the tank - no problem.
I turned on the tap, and flushed some fuel through without letting it go to the carb. Then I connected the bottom end of the pipe and let fuel through to the carb. The scooter fired up briefly.
I was going to make adjustments to the carb next day, but left the tap on overnight by mistake, and next morning fuel had leaked from the tap onto the floor, so I tweaked the two screws a little tighter on the side of the tap.
Now the tap will not allow any fuel through, either on main or reserve.
If I loosen the screws again, no doubt the tap will leak.
The tap is a brand new one, with new petrol pipe and new fuel. The tank was sandblasted clean before the outside was painted.
Any suggestions please?
