Fixing leg shield badge

Hi - i have chromedthe existing badge, and it has small holes for fixing to the holes in the legshields. Evidently later model badges had pins which were then 'pressed' to make the fix. How do you fix the ones with holes, the holes seem too small for rivets and too small for 'hammer screws', any suggestions gratefully received???

A photo would help. Rechroming usually "thickens" the item which often leads to loss of detail and fit issues. Perhaps you may need to open up the mounting holes so the pins fit.

you can see the small holes in the badge, and the holes in the legshields, they are 2mm holes and whilst I can use micros screws and nuts, I'm looking for a 'cleaner' method of fixing the badge to the legshields

SIP, and I'm sure others, sell soft rivets in various diameters and lengths. Search their site for "rivet" and you should be able to find a size that will work.
