I notice in the latest Jetset that riders in the coast to coast are given a route sheet. Do riders have to stick to this route or can they make their own way to Saltburn?

As far as I’m aware we have always been given a route sheet. Doesn’t stop me getting lost though. Followed some bloke back to his house in Acklam one year!

You can take what ever route you like, but the suggested one is usually scenic and fun to ride.

The route is the whole point of the C to C , don’t stray from the path .

we diverted from the route a couple of years ago, but only to do hardknott and wrynose, i think a lot of effort is put into the official route by whoever organises it = good "for scooters" roads / great views / good amount of fuel stop options.

Follow the route if you want a fantastic scenic route that is neither too fast nor too slow. My favourite Rally and not had a bad route yet which is down to the planning which is usually spot on :D .

Good. I'll dig out my flip flops, shorts and open face bash hat. (Still wear gloves though)

Have a safe ride up everyone, or down/across  Hoping to call in to Chiselspeed on the way up to have a look at their Quattrini and take a detour via Wrynose and Hardknott if we're doing alright for time.
