C2C

Postby gaz_powell » Sun Apr 22, 2018 1:12 pm

Just back, what a cracking weekend - one of the best C2Cs I've ever done.

Great route, great weather Friday/Saturday, two great venues

Had three C2C first timers with me, and they loved it.

Nice to meet the Stamford lads who travelled with us aswell.

Well done LCGB for putting it all together

Totally agree, thanks to everyone involved in organising this year's C2C, I had a fantastic few days riding, drinking and meeting friends old and new.

Last night was spent at the Spa in the hilarious company of mate Andrew and the lads from Morecambe; Nigel, Paul, Leo & Dave2. I'll never forget Jep(?) from security challenging ownership of a pound coin that had been picked up & claimed and the very entertaining fella from Stamford - "my wife left me after 18 years, I've got 5 kids you know" - tears were shed, brilliant!

Also, condolences to the family and friends of Shaun Burns, I spoke to him once on the phone and can imagine he was a real character.

Cheers, Mark

we enjoyed it so much we followed the course on our return to the west on sunday, shame the weather was not as good as Saturdays = butturtubs etc was fairly intense in the rain and strong winds. graham and terry / Peterborough.

Excellent route, and thought it worked well going west to east for a change. 8-) The turn out was very impressive and cheers to those who managed to arrange for the excellent weather!
