Not a happy bunny ☹️

Hi Paddy

If I class as one of the 'Top Brass' I'll provide a response.

It was agreed a few years back following feedback received from Members that to avoid the possibility of some regular and popular LCGB events from becoming 'stale' the Derby 150 and C2C would occur alternate years.

Simple as that.

Cheers

I guess this proves the old adage that you can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time.
The wider scootering scene is sometimes criticised for being too predictable, so tin an attempt to offer variety at LCGB run events we have tried over recent years to put on a range of events at different venues, for example Arundel, the Lincoln National, Shipston, Cartmel, Ypres, C2C using different start/end points and the Derby 150.
By doing this and alternating events we hope that our BSM doesn't get stale, and that members are able to try out new events at different venues.
If you fancy a good day's ride maybe try the Derby 150, it's not C2C but it's a decent alternative (judging by the feedback)

Cheers, Steve

For my twopenn'th..... i prefer ending up at St Bees, good for accommodation and nice to be all at the same venue (pretty much).....if we wanted to go more up market i suppose Blackpool is an option :o

Top quality quilted toilet paper in St Bees. Well worth the journey there (on a racing seat) just to use it.

Ahh, now relax.

I'm another big fan of C2C but appreciate what the organisers are trying to do here. Mixing it up a bit keeps things fresh and a little bit different. Derbyshire 150 is an equally enjoyable ride as C2C with lovely roads and spectacular scenery so well worth considering. :D

Derby 150 is a great event. Great facilities good atmosphere, camping on site.

I love the C2C format but members rallies like Derby 150, Mull, Cartmel, Shipston, Maldon , Llangollen etc are really good and mix it up a bit. I like camping events where there is a town close by to walk to for a beer on the Friday night and after the Saturday ride out and then a venue with a DJ onsite to end the night. The fact that it’s usually about £20 and you get fed as well is a great idea. Good work. Keep it up.

The LCW rally at Aberaeron is also worthy of a visit this year. It was great last year. Lovely town and good venue.

Just need to work out how to fit the marquee, the Club Shop stock & a Lambretta in the back of my new van?

Planning on attending & riding the South Downs in 2019.

You can set up inside

leave the marquee at home mate, there's plenty of room.

Is this a ticketed event or is it a case of turn up and ride?
What is the normal format? Arrive Friday/ ride Saturday/ home Sunday?

So it looks as though there’s no C2C again this year?
