Derby 150

Postby Tractorman » Sat Aug 17, 2019 7:45 pm

Thank you LCGB for another excellent Derby 150, although the weather could have been better on Friday!! The new rider friendly route was excellent and took nothing away from the scenery of the Peak District.

Thanks for the feedback, glad it worked out.
Well done everyone who made the rally a success once again, particularly those who braved the weather Friday

Back safe from another cracking Rally. A big thank you to everyone, especially those that put in all the hard work in organising what was a great weekend. Everything absolutely soaked through Friday night but Saturday soon made up for that. I think my Model D loved it as much as I did :D .

A bit repetitive as a comment, but an excellent rally. Route was great, camping and the rugby club were brilliant. Friday’s weather was the only low point and we dried out in the bar anyway. Thanks to all for arranging.

Fantastic rally yet again, extremely well organised and run, loved the route and preferred Snake Pass in that direction. Weather on Friday was a small blip but did nothing to dampen the spirits, weather yesterday and today was perfect

as others have already said - a really well organised event, the route card was simple and accurate meaning riders where free to concentrate on the road and some great scenery, i don't own a lambretta anymore but it is events like this that make the lcgb the best national club for anyone interested in riding geared scooters with like-minded proper scooterists.
even the head gasket that had been leaking all weekend and finally gave up on the m1 "repaired using a can of stella/wife beater to complete the last 60 miles home" did not take the shine off a great weekend.
thanks to the organisers and all involved.

First time I've made this event as in the past for one reason or another I've had something else on & not been able to make it. It was well worth the trip down from the Scottish borders on the Friday even though we got absolutely soaked through
Ride out on the Saturday was fantastic and great midway stop point in Castleton. The rugby club is a great venue & food provided was good. Breakfast roll on the Sunday morning before we headed back north was spot on.
Just shy of 700 miles on my series 2 & never missed a beat all weekend, well chuffed.

Well done to all involved it was superb, really enjoyed it from start to finish

I am so glad I attended. A great ride in one of my favourite counties. I saw lots of good friends (both scooter related and non-scooterists) and when I arrived home, I realised I had nothing on the Lambretta that was in urgent need of repair before I rode it next time.

Now there's a first!

Thank-you to LCGB, Steve and Mandi Grant for their supreme efforts to make it such a success. It is events like this that make scootering such fun.

So I rode the scooter down to the pub tonight, and the clutch cable broke. Normal service has been resumed.
