Postby Nudger » Mon May 11, 2020 2:45 pm

Hope this will go ahead but it's going to be close, from todays White Paper OUR PLAN TO REBUILD: The UK Government’s
COVID-19 recovery strategy:

Step Three – No sooner than July 4th
The government’s aim of opening some remaining businesses from 4th July includes:
Hairdressers
Beauty salons
Pubs
Food service providers
Places of worship

What, you're holding it in a Beauty Salon or a Church !!

Not wanting to sound too pessimistic but isn't there something about "large gatherings"...?

Evidence shows that outside, the virus has a much lower transmission rate than indoors.
I'm hoping that a pub with a beer garden and campsite across the road would be able to host a small gathering like an LCGB rally come July.

Lets hope it's not raining... Given the antisocial distancing the jukebox (in the pub) is no longer an option & a decent pa to cope with the beyond bonkers straining at the (social distancing) leash crew will be required... Hope it happens!

Like all other LCGB BSM Rallies, the Flying Eightballs Rally is cancelled.
It’s all about ensuring everyone’s welfare.
Hope you understand

That's a real shame -always a great event. I, like many others I suspect, was clinging to the faint hope that this would be a start of a resumption of normal life. But as you say health and welfare has to come first - See you in 2021

Please can you avoid 3/7/21 for next year’s rally; I have a wedding to attend

Too demanding?
