The odds are stacked against the future of Wicksteed parts fair with the loss of Kev Walsh, the pandemic and the Wicksteed site going into receivership.

I understand that there have been some progress with the Wicksteed site, but does anyone have any info on whether KW Productions are up for organising future events at Wicksteed or anywhere else?

Not heard anything but hopefully if it's not at Wicksteed there will be another centrally based (that's above the M25!) parts fair to replace it.

To be fair David, all KW parts fairs were North of the M25. In fact, I have seen few parts fair South of Watford. Chimpy Lovelock used to organise one in Kent, but that hasn’t run for a few years.

I still think there is a place for such parts fairs, so let’s hope that people carry the baton.

(Just in case someone says, ‘organise one yourself”, I don’t live in a nice central location with a good catchment area)

I thought that a parts fair was a natural bolt on to the ScooterLab customs show should that ever be done again. The number of dealers at that event was impressive and I thought demonstrated a need for an annual event which assembled all the main supplier / dealers in one place.

I also thought that if Wicksteed is no more then the obvious choice would be to join onto an existing classic motorcycle jumble like Newark or something similar.

I don't ever remember Scooter Lab having a Custom Show?

Scooter Expo in Alfreton a couple of years ago. It was a marvellous show.
