Cheers Pal.

It went well and as for the weather. ..that was hot.

Still have no idea why the traffic was so mental for the first few miles. I'll look on local news later.

Us organisers are still puzzled why at least twenty people paid and never showed up. Our only thinking is that their others halves told 'em to write off the ten quid and do something with the family cos of the weather. .or the traffic got that bad they binned the idea and came home.

Swanage sea front is a lovely place for a cold beer and grub in that heat.

Hopefully same time next year. ..already got a route in mind.

I expect the non attendees are down to your strict cut off date - I am self employed and work outside and can never be sure if I can make an event in the summer till a few days before so risked paying the fee anyway., we enjoyed the event again "followed pj this year to avoid missing chunks of the route = thanks pete"

Can't be helped I'm afraid, we need a month to get everything in order with the funds collected & we're not going to make up any shortfall out of our own pockets as I'm sure you'll agree.

Furthest travelled solo was Paul Dodsworth from Lincs & Newark (still have your trophy here)

Furthest travelled club with 3+ members was total mileage Kettering massive

I am not criticizing, I don't envy anyone putting on an event and appreciate those that do. myself and terry "white and green Spanish series 3" thoroughly enjoyed the day and route.

Well, my excuse was mechanical failure/waiting for parts but I did let the organisers know and with their say so I offered the ticket on here but no takers.

Thoroughly enjoyed my previous outing and looking forward to next year.

I hand delivered the trophy to the Kettering Massive - how's that for service?!

Were the Kettering Massive represented by Terry Carpenter or Phil York?

Top blokes. Well deserved.

Terry was definitely there, but I'm not sure of the others names that he was with...
