It's a direct train service - you load your scoot and leave Hamburg in the evening to awake next morning in Vienna.
Have a look at the map Mick and you'll see it cuts out some miles and drops you quickly further east.

It also gives you one nights accommodation, and eliminates fuel and oil consumption.

I've used the Vienna night service a few times. It is efficient, but expect to share your cabin with a stranger or two, and you will miss the sights of the spectacular scenery as you pass through it in the dark.

Oh, and don't expect too much sleep. The train just won't keep still!
