I've always thought Belgium was a country we rode through hoping their same lane overtaking antics didn't kill us :?

Not only... It was pretty much a complete cross section of the 4 wheel (plus) box driving demographic, including the coppers that pulled me   French drivers on the other hand seem vastly more enlightened & 2-wheeler aware, moving over in traffic jams to let peds through etc. I imagine that this is in no small amount to many French yoof having grown up on mopeds :D
