Did the Fluela a few years ago in a rather quick M3, approaching winter hood down, flat out and tail out all 60 bends, cold but warmed up well and rear tyres nicely blistered, a good bicep workout
If anyones done it there are better roads out there though, Black forest south of Karlsrue is a good one and well worth a visit..

Would this be the B500 or are there other roads to beat the black forest highstreet.

Thats the one, the B500 or 'Scwarzwaldhochstrasse'. From my own experience this is the one to beat all, long wide sweeping bends and tight switchbacks from Baden Baden to Kneibis. Preferably done on/in something rapid. Take a detour on your alternative route to the Euro next year and guarantee you wont be disappointed. From memory i think it peaks at around 1100 metres ASL.
