Even the Presidents from all the National Club's really don't know where the venue is for the following years Euro until the meeting at each Euro Jamboree each year. The LC Italy had previously indicated Monza until the meeting in Germany confirmed Adria, then weeks later a local/Regional Lambretta Club in Italy came up with the Monza event.

However this 'needing to know' years ahead (so I can get the wife/partner/friend to fly out and attend) could really backfire should (when) the host club limit the event to a lower number than expected. No point booking anything until you have confirmed you have a ticket for the event, and this will never be until January of the year of each Jamboree.

Anything in print on this Forum, or elsewhere on social media, ahead of the Presidents Meeting at each Euro is simply pure speculation. If you want an example, then Adria is perfect. There were loads of people that had accommodation already booked in Monza and plane tickets pre-booked.

There's an argument that the more distance from an airport, so that attendees primarly have to ride there, the better. Unless we want to attend a Euro Jamboree where all but a handful actually ride their lambretta's there and back??? Not my ideal thinking of what a Euro Lambretta Jamboree is all about??

Those that attended Adria had the chance to find out quite a lot of information about next years Euro in Spain, the Spanish LC had a stall on the Saturday and were more than happy to provide details/flyers to those that stopped by and had a natter (they even had a nibbles and wine party during the afternoon - & very nice it was too).

Maybe these events have simply become too popular, and possibly their are now more attending not by riding a lambretta, that those that do?? Which is sad, in my humble opinion.

Along with another forum member ( posted some pretty inflammatory remarks and you know who i mean Simon) we both knew it wouldnt be Monza, i didnt know the exact location but the Venice region was mentioned and happened to be spot on!

Re the Spanish club, yes, for anyone complaining there was plenty of info available at Adria.

As for riding to a Euro, my own view is that it matters not how you get there but the event itself that counts. Europeans have for years brought big camper vans large enough to carry their Lambretta with them, purpose made trailers are also a favourite. Two lwb Merc Sprinters from the UK unloaded 12 Lambrettas with the owners flying to Milan. Not everyone can take two to three weeks off to allow riding to a Euro destination and back, for some its just not practical. As you well know i only use my Tv for the show at Euros and van it there and back, this is the only event im able to do each year. Summer is peak season for me and cant have more than just over a week off. This year alone was 7k km for the thrash from Malaga to the Uk, from there out to Adria, back in one hit on the Sunday to Norwich, one day at 'home' and then 2300km drive back to Espana. Completely bolloxed for two days once back but..was it worth it?.....Of course it was.... ... ;)

Hi Andy

The Euro Lambretta Jamboree's are one thing to you, but to others, including myself, we maybe look at things in a different way?

If I could ride to more Euro's, (i.e. have a back up van driver that knew the craic), I certainly would do, I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to ride to Davos in 2015.

It would (will) be a sad day when more attend a Euro Lambretta not riding, than actually ride to that Jamboree.

Likewise any 'scooter rally/event' that I am able to attend.

Hopefully catch up with you sometime in the next 12 months ;)

I think Abejar is the location, but what I'm trying to find is the exact location, basically is it in Abejar or 5 miles up the road ?

If numbers are an issue why not limit the numbers, favouring those who travel by Lambretta ? It would seem unfair to refuse someone who rides their scooter to the venue to someone who doesn't

Totally agree Simon, it will indeed be a sad day if the vanners and campers ect one day out number the riders and this is coming from a vanner! I totally respect those that ride and put in the slogging miles on two wheels. I wish i had another 'ridden' Lambretta (the plastic p.o.s LN125 which we use around Malaga central is discounted  ) but...with only ever having enough time during the year for the Euro (which i wouldnt miss for the world) would be a pretty pointless excercise tbh. I personally think that having the cultural mix and different ideas/views which go hand in hand with this event is what makes the Euros so great. Its also my view the riders will NEVER actually be out numbered..
Hopefully just maybe i might make Brid this year, if so see you there mate.. ;)

Why would you possibly want to do that?? The Euros are about bringing together Lambretta owners from all cultures across Europe, its what makes this event so unique. There is nothing in the remit for a Euro ref how you arrive at the venue. Limiting it to rider only would exclude many many from CH/AUT/PL/FR/CZ/BE and DE who use campers/trailers ect. Its the event that counts, trying to exclude for daft reasons would result in the Euros demise

Camping Concurso virtually Abejar central and within walking distance to shops/bars ect. Just off the N234 and easily accessible from Santander via Burgos or Bilbao via Logrono likewise those coming from the north Zeebrugge / Calais..

I don't think the riders will ever be outnumbered either.
Each country has a different demographic, as the GB and Irish scooterists get older and we start trailering or strapping our Lambrettas to campervans in larger numbers the generally older clubs like France and Italy will start dying off and their bikes will be bought by younger scooterists who will ride them to euros.
Then we will die as the Spanish start to get too old to ride long distances.
And so it goes on...

Thanks for the link. My wife is Spanish and I got her to ring the site and they confirmed this is the where the rally will be held. The bungalows on site have been booked by the Host Spanish Lambretta Club. Pilar also rang Felix the President of the Spanish club. The accommodation will be used by volunteers and workers for the rally. In the unlikely event of any being spare they will be offered to the national club committees.

There is another similar place about 2km away (so I'm told). So good luck hotel hunting or it's camping.

My understanding has always been that at euro lamb jamboree is when the venue for the following year is announced, so why folk cannot accept that anything that comes out before that us just rumour. As for making plans is 12 months not enough. The rumours last year of monza were just that, rumours, with 2 months to go to the announcement at euro 2016, nothing! Had been done re monza, no confirmed booking, no costing, hence the LCI decision to go with plan B which is why it ended up at adria.
But I go back to the original question, why dies anyone need more than 12 months to plan?

I'm confused
The Euro tickets can't be applied for until at least January 2018 .
You don't find out for sure if you've got tickets until some months after that .
Then you've got to try and find accommodation ,book ferry tickets.
It seems the wrong way round to me and you've not got 12 months to plan ,less than 6 ?

On a previous post there was a lot of discussion about will I get a ticket or won't I get a ticket. I think the consensus was that if you apply on time then you will get one; most people seem to work on that assumption. Hotels can now be booked with no deposit so there's no risk and if ferries are involved (especially to Spain) then you need to get in early to get a good price and to guarantee that you get what you want. There is a risk on the ferry costs that people (me included) are willing to take.

In the last few years I've watched people booking hotels online seconds after they find out the destination of the next event. After Austria people stopped off at the German venue to guarantee they could book a hotel.

If you book a family holiday most of us start planning shortly after we get home from the last one so it's only natural that people start planning the next Euro as soon as they get home.

12 months is more than enough. I dont get to have more than around 8 days off each year as business is at its peak but can still do any week during the summer even with as little as 2 months notice. Self employed out here yes but surely most dont have that much restriction at work its real hassle to get2 weeks off in June??
As for Monza this year youre right, it was just rumour but even after Guiselwind last year after speaking to Tino Saachi i pointed out on this very forum it would NOT be at Monza . Another forum member (Eden) also pointed out the near exact location ie Adria way before it was officially announced.
As for booking accomodation for those needing it most travel sites like Trivago/ Booking.com and over here Sajcotrans.ES there are no cancellation fees right up to the day before any booking, debit card/ credit card details are taken but no payment taken.

100plus hotels/hostels/b&b's in the Soria area for those that really dont want to camp. Camping Urbion is the next closest campsite..
