So a LiS front mudguard arrived today all the way from italy ( no custom or import fee!!! :D )
Ironically its from a LiS125 so underneath the black paint is the original light metallic blue finish.

nearly there..........

Are you going to do the same to the mudguard as you did to the back end? Or just leave it light blue?

I'm liking that a lot. You've done a good job on it.

Last night I dropped the LiS to a clubmate who is a excellent body work man by trade. I think you would agree that the results are impressive - you cannot see the join inside or outside. he aged the paint with a blow torch to blend it in with the original patina. Here are some pic of the work in progress

And in more news I've found an original paint front mudguard!!!!! It arrives next week so once that's fitted along with the petrol tank, it completes the scooter!

Brilliant job that is. Not sure I'd have had the patience or confidence of finding all the right parts. It's also about having the right contacts; your mate has done a first class job there. Well done.

Nice work! Happy to see another Lambretta saved. Would happily trade all mechanical knowledge for metal shaping skills like that. Very impressive!
