Finally got started on the Jet , all stripped down to bare frame , frame and panel work cleaned up (years of Spanish grime ) engine stripped down and crud cleaned off ready for vapour blasting had a mate do me a few little welding jobs and we both did a bit of straightening of a few bent bits  so the rebuild is on its way , the scooter was in great condition and came apart very easily , I’ve decided I’m going to use it as a rally bike so I’ll need to add a few different bits ( purists don’t read on  ) gonna fit a long range tank a different engine as i had a small block GT200 already built , all the original parts I don’t use I will be boxing up for a later date , the original engine will be rebuilt to standard . I’ve only got the one picture below of the seat the original cover on was past repair when I took the tape off so I got a new cover off Antony at Buzzsolomoto excellent quality

That’s really lovely and so few of them on UK roads too.

Did you find any surprises when you stripped it down?

Cheers , no not really lithe suprise was it came apart rather easily only issue was the stand frame strut was damaged not the weld it looked like maybe the rear shock had broken at some point forcing the exhaust to hit the strut and push it upwards but managed to get it back into shape with heat and a hammer ;)
