At the risk of offending, I truly can't see the point myself.

I can appreciate the work that's gone into it but it's not really the same as one that's still exactly as it was when it came off the production line 50 odd years ago.

As good as it may be it's really just a very, very expensive resto surely?

Was this the one you were asking 40 Grand for a while ago?

Just my opinion obviously.

It is what it is, Andy has never pretended otherwise to my knowledge. It is as close as any of us will ever get to appreciating what a TV1 would have looked like when it rolled off the production line. Unless sealed in a vacuum from new, no scooter is ever going to look 'original' for very long.

As Colin (coaster) mentions, it was done to re create a factory fresh Tv1 and having used 100% Innocenti parts (90% new old stock going by the parts book) right down to every nut, screw and washer theres very little more if anything i could have done to match a new one built 57 years ago..
Btw, no offence taken and opinion respected.. ;)

To me it is exactly what it would have looked like sat in a dealers showroom in the late 1950's.

It's assembled from genuine Innocenti parts, just as it would have been in Milan - it's just taken a bit longer to put them all together.

When you have built scooters yourself you can appreciate the amount of time and effort which goes into something like this. Excellent

Well ..had to wait a while to get it booked in but did eventually get to have the paint treatment applied, its Nanolex Si3D a silica based coating. The Durabrite Hellshine was first removed, paintwork cleansed using the Nanolex pre treatment .
It doesnt show the results too clearly in the pictures but has taken it to a new level over and above the Hellshine, seems an extremely good product.

Reversed her little convertible she uses when in Spain into a wall when i had to move it a couple of weeks ago, still waiting on it at the paintshop. Havent told her yet as i think she'll be standing more than a vase on it..
