Mr G in NYC wrote:looks like he likes it also . :D Thumbs up from me , tis a thing of real ART ;) G.

On another note how come all those Lambrettaristi have immaculate white
overalls not a spot of grease or oil anywhere  whats with that ? 8-)

Funny you mention that MrG, i also noticed a few including the photographer at Euro Suisse this year with perfect crisp white ovies and Mr Saachis are always spotless.
Anything white lasts me all of 5 mins before looking like an oily rag and has the affect of making me look like one of the black and white minstrels

One i havent seen for a few years and thought lost forever on my old laptop.

In the background is Nick Tollys S2 TV, Dean Ortons 'Speedball' and GT200.. i cant remember who owned the other S2 TV (red flyscreen) on the right of the picture though..

Stunning scooter. A real labour of love I imagine when sourcing all the parts and also when rebuilding not chipping them!!! I'm glad you kept it Andy. It would have been a big regret for you if you'd sold it 8-)

I did have a mad moment or two and have had good offers for it but its a keeper, it takes up little space (unlike a car) and as you say would have had regret if it was sold. Ref building it up, we did three dry builds to make sure everything fitted perfectly before it was painted which really did help when putting it together. Sourcing the parts did take considerable time, the best find was the nos engine casing and rear hub, both like rocking horse ****.
Thanks for the comment btw.. ;)

Ive run it a few times Jazzy although sitting in my living room i obviously have to drain it of fuel.
Re the location, yes it was the Iow in 2008. Racing Green who used to be on the old forum had some great pics of it being ridden by Darrell Milnes along Ryde sea front, ive been looking for those also but no luck as yet..

That's a shame, but I suppose nowadays you use a smoke generator when you play your Prog Rock LP's such as Hawkwind....

If it was mine I wouldn't ride it, it's to good to ride (I will get shot for saying that I imagine). This scooter should always be kept like this as a museum piece for reference and as a part of history.
Lovely scooter. 8-)

Thanks Dimitrios, John..

Re riding it, i do sometimes get knocked for not using it but tbh (and im not blowing my own trumpet here) its done to such a standard it would ruin it and although the nos ACS tyres still look as new, realistically they would have to be changed for new for safetys sake. Fill it with fuel and it could be ridden any distance without issue but it is and i think always will be just a museum piece/ show exhibit.
I do have a daily rider but sad to say its a (cough)...LN 150... ... ;)

Youre not wrong Jazzy, the story was i had the offer of taking an old gents original from new Ld avv to one of the Euros along with my Tv1 (Avignon 2013 i think) and had first refusal if he ever sold it but sadly the old guy died and initially the sale was going through his daughter but she subsequently decided to hang onto it as a keep sake. Ive still got 1st offer if it does go for sale. Its 2K miles from new, all original in near mint condition, still has its original tyres ect, electric start works fine and runs like new. Its currently covered in blankets in a condo. Im still hoping one day ill be able to buy it..

Its in the process of having the paintwork professionally coated with Nanolex Si3D to replace the Autobrite Hellshine sealant. Should take the paint finish to another level once done. I was gong to do it myself but bottled out..
