An old one, My Series 1 Re Vamp

Postby Toddy » Wed Jun 04, 2014 6:45 am

as a few of you know i like my primer rusterations well last winter i decided to have a re vamp as its the 55th anniversary of the series 1 model . i decided to take the scooter back to its standardish colours (not exactly Factory spec for the well educated) but red and white so i took the horncasting , headset , panels , footboards, inner legshield toolbox, air scoop and petrol flap to be powder coated just to tidy it up and get rid of the primer i also tidied up the top of the frame which was a little rusty i did this with some rattle cans. The panels were then sent to Claire at Stickerbox for Vinyl wrapping (she did the panels on the White GP raffle prize at Lincoln the other year) and what a cracking job i thought she has done, i also changed the engine as well taking the RB22 out and replacing it with a taffspeed TS i had on the shelf i stuck with the Mikuni TMX and added an Addspeed touring pipe hopefully you will have seen it on a few rallies :D

Sorry about quality of the pictures :(

as it was
