This bike has become increasingly unpleasant to ride with a 'misfire' feel to it, although it didn't feel like that at first, rather it was just feeling sluggish and peaky.

Anyway, I fitted an external pick up and it's a new bike. Better than it was after the dyno session.

Here's the graph as a reminder

So I'm left wondering if I should get it back on the dyno? Not just out of curiosity, but does it affect fuelling?

Is the jagged shape of the graph down to poor ignition?

Isn't that an S3 side case?

Yes, but it doesn't affect jetting.

Sorry for sarcasm, but yes it is. Is it original? I have no idea! Many winter model parts were s3, the air scoop springs to mind. I don't know if the side cases were s3 or maybe a mixture. There are a few from 66, including mine, so I'd gues they would be the likely candidates for s3 cases if there's a mix.

This one has been through the mill. I didn't think it was a winter when I bought it but the frame number says otherwise, so I bought the parts that were wrong. The chain case may well have been changed over the years. Who knows what lies in its murky past, but I'm not really a purist, so I'd prefer stronger s3 anyway.

The thing with any old vehicle unless you've owned it from new you never know whats original and what's been replaced
