I had another thought PLEASE be careful The flammable liquids your using and the heat lamp coming together are a very dangerous combination.

Sometimes in our enthusiasm we can overlook basic workshop safety .
Its really refreshing to see a positive thread like this exactly what I hoped for when I joined LCGB.

We'll see, like I said previously never used flake/candy/fine line masking before so it's all a bit of a trial, hence the test panel. For fine detail/outlining/fogging etc what would you recommend air brush wise? My smallest spraygun has a 0.8 nozzle and I reckon that'll be too big for some bits. Got any links? Cheers.

I will pm you my mobile number as already been in trouble posting pics lol

Nearly ready for candies on the test panel. I've got 4 base candys to work with. That gives me 10 colours mixing in equal proportions to test, you do the math, and pick some crackers to use for GSC. Never used Fine Line tape b4 and it's a bit ropey, but hey-ho,we'll see Whappens as the Beat once said.

The bike is looking great,
I've been following from the very beginning and cannot wait to see it finished however the paint work ends up it will look great.
The sample shelf you have been painting is becoming a work of art of its own.
Great work. As Steve ( Cov Boy ) said your own taught talents never seem to stop impressing me.
Also I've just noticed at the beginning of your re-build the shelf used for the CDI mount you must have plenty knocking around to practice on.

Ha. My Dad worked in the stores department at one of the University offices in town (Oxford), when the stores dept had a refit, guess who got all of the racking? There are bits of shelf on all of my custom builds!

This spraying lark has been keeping me off the streets. Started a 2nd test panel with an eye on legshield designs and colours and colours after the 1st panel, and also to practice the fine lining and masking.

Marking out design... in a noisy front room wi kids fighting.

Many stages in between as I'm sure you can imagine.

4 hits of clearcoat on top of finished test panel... needs cutting back and buffing yet, but ultimately pretty chuffed with the result on my first/second attempt, there's a few issues but that's what the test panel was all about.

Time to build the booth bigger and get the scoot in there... and start again.

Oh boy, that is so good.
Makes my clumsy attempt to paint look like a 5 year olds.

Great design work but you 2 might have to start another Mod club at this rate!

When you follow the YouTube links to the spraying, I was half expecting to hear, "Can you tell what it is yet?"

Spraybooth extended. Still Mickey Mouse though.
First part of bodywork flaked. Such a long winded process when facilities/environment aren't right. I'm sure anyone who has sprayed flake before will appreciate how my garage/garden now looks like fairies back door.
