having just fitted my one like yours I note the same issue you have is that the two half clamps come together and don't meets any bolt holes if you want the wheel mounted as yours with the spare holes at 3/6/9/12 o clock to mount an oil can holder.
When the clamps come together like this they don't even catch the wheel rim as it is scalloped. So what exactly is clamping your wheel or is it just wedged between the holder and the toolbox door.
I only have a 3.00x10 tyre and its a squeeze with the tyre wedged against the toolbox door, at least there was a small gap at the toolbox with the Cuppini style.
Can you send me some close up pictures of the clamp and the toolbox?
cheers Paul

Attached is a picture of mine when I put the spare bolt holes at 3/6/9/12 o clock positions?
My spare is just jammed between the rack and the toolbox door and isn't being held by the clamps.
I've seen pictures on here where the clamp actually uses one of the spare holes, but that makes it difficult to fit an oil tank holder as all the holes are then not in good places and you definitely need a scooped toolbox door.
