[youtube-share][/youtube-share][youtube-share][/youtube-share]I first got my GP in 2005 as a restored Indian import.
At the time I was back at home earning decent money so bought it as an investment not knowing the market would soon be flooded with them.
Didn't do much with it until 2009 when I got fed up of seeing loads of Ochre Indian GP's knocking about so I set about doing it in a barn find style. But as a 70's Scooterboy survivor!
I aged the paint, added pinstripes and various accessories and fooled a few people at the time.

This was just the 09' look as I had heard they were having a trad Skinhead Skelly meet at the Grand Hotel in Scarborough that year.
Due to a shocking hangover and it running shite all the way there I didn't bother.
On the way back I blew the exhaust into two pieces lol

I had just read Brads Time Trouble and money book which inspired this phase an awful lot

I was thinking the mudflap was a bit on the small side actually ;) :

On thd way back from Scarborough that year I blew the exhaust to bits so needed to source a new one.
I did a deal on a bit of paintwork and got a 48mm reverse cone Clubman out of it.
So it was accessories off swapped the seat back over to the Snett and that was my 78'-80' look complete.
This was when the influence of Brads Time, Trouble and money really stepped in!

Just setting the scene so far.

Ta mate

Found another old pic from before the rubbing down started.
Scooterboys favourite car spares Pinstriping tape and number plate stickers

Image

Also De Luxe badge off my old Vauxhall Cresta.
Horncast grill and badge were at the platers at the time getting brass plated

Fast forward to may 2016. 7 years 2 house moves, getting married and a 3 year old I've now decided to pull the Lammy out again and build the custom scooter I have always wanted.

Mainly as a promotional vehicle for my paintwork and another side project I have.

Started having a few bits replated.
Horncast was stripped of chrome and polished along with runner strips and stainless bridge piece.

Levers, bolts and housings were next aswell

I've had toolbox chromed and headset top polished also but no pics for now

had the exhaust body shot blasted and re painted it. Also had my carb bellmouth chromed too
Image

The U-bend was very rusty so took it in for de-rusting and straight plating no polish

I had been asking about for a pair of old panels to cut for the look I want but couldn't find any orbthey were silly money so I cut my own.
First cut is the deepest!!

Still needed some fettling after this to smarten them up.
Did a little more then got bored so started playing with sign writing and paint layout ideas
