Hi Guys,
I’m sure this is a frequently asked question but what are the implications of importing a Lambretta from Italy back to the U.K?
Many thanks.

Yes it's going to put a dent in your wallet.

Ha ha yes i’ve worked that one out.
What I mean is do I just sort out the Nova etc myself once the Lambretta has been delivered?

Nova is a pain but it's just admin nevertheless. I had to register with HMRC gateway to do it, but I've done a few now. There's an organisation called bloa or something that do dating certificates  Then the v55/5.

Irritating, but part of the journey.

Hi,

There is a guy trading as Parspeed Scooters who imports a number directly from Italy a month. I got mine from him earlier in the year. Scooter came NOVA registered and delivered for an extra fee. I believe he imports the full spectrum from needing a full resto to restored but is dependant as to what is available in Italy when he is over there.

Was happy with mine in that it was exactly as described though not cheap.

Cheers - Darren

hiya

In July i got an engine-less LI150 that i bought on ebay posted to me from Sicily by UPS
the day after it arrived in a big cardboard box i took a frame number rubbing and
posted it down to LCGB to get a dating certificate that arrived a week later

by then i had read up on this guys NOVA application

https://www.lambrettajourney.co.uk/nova-example-images/

i printed off a couple of forms from the CAMLAM site

http://www.lambretta.co.uk/downloads/nova-form.pdf

then by the second attempt had filled it in correctly as far as i could see
i then printed of the ebay receipt for the Lammy along with the UPS tracking register
stuck in a basic covering letter and posted it all off to HM customs

2 weeks later i got back my NOVA form and number

its all a bit of a faff but its easy once you have run through it
and the fact that it was half price compared to what i would
have paid in the UK made it worth all the effort

cheers
