Cutting out

Hi all quick question had a ride out on my ts1 yesterday and after about a mile it just died on me it’s third time it’s done this just stops with no indication then 2 kicks later it’s away and doesn’t do it again rides spot on any ideas be much appreciated ( thinking crap in carb or electrical ) regards

Have you checked the breather in the filler cap is clear as that's about how far you get if it is blocked.

random - but just check that all connections to your regulator are secure and not snapped etc

Quite possibly a stator LT coil issue. There are numerous posting about this matter to review and its a common problem.
To rule this out:-
connect up a digital multimeter to the stator green wire and earth.
Tape the meter to the headset. and set it to the 200v AC scale.
Start the engine and you should read between 60Vac - 200Vac depending on revs.
When your engine dies and still shows a healthy voltage as the engine is coasting down, then the LT coil is ok. If it dips to virtually nothing then its goosed.
