Fresco big bore finish?

Having spent big bux (for me at least) on a BGM zorzt does stove enameling mean anything to anyone out there...?

I have stove enamelled parts on my GP that were coated in 1990 and are stil OK.

Seems to be better on steel than on alloy though. I think like every thing else it will depend on the preparation.

Also like powder coat if you chip it and get moisture in then it can corrode internally without much outside sign.

Any finish will struggle to stay on the hottest part of the pipe, especially the U bend.

ceramic coating is the only option that works for an exhaust.....expensive but it does work.

powder coat, stove enamel, heat resistant paint, etc all work for a short period but not as long or as effective as the ceramic

Cheerz chaps! Now I might be being a complete plank/have dreamt it but is there a 'black chrome' finish, sure I saw it advertised in a m.sickle rag...?

Yes it's available, not sure where from tho.
I know midland scooter centre used to advertise it as a finish for micron pipes

Black Chrome was a great finish - I had an MSC micron done in it
The finish was like laying a black candy over chrome.

I tried to find someone to do an exhaust but hit a brick wall, apparently chrome bi products are bad but the black Chrome process was worse - so no one does it.
